Red River cruise

If you have some extra days in Hanoi and don't know what to do, a one day Red River cruise would be fun. The boat departs at 7:30am and back in Hanoi at 5:30pm (3 days a week). Ticket can be bought in advance or at their office at 7:15am, before the boat leaves the wharf. You will visit Dam temple, Dai Lo temple (with great countryside landscape on the way to these sites), Chu Dong Tu temple in the morning then Bat Trang ceramic village in the afternoon. The company that organizes this tour is "Cong ty du lich Song Hong" (the Red River Tourist Company), at 42 Chuong Duong Do street, Hanoi. Ticket price VND 210,000 (approx. US$13) in August 2008 (including insurance, lunch and folk song performance on the boat). Tel: 84-4-38261479.
