Local bus from Hanoi to Bat Trang ceramic market and village


If you want to spend a half day or a few hours in Hanoi visiting Bat Trang ceramic market and village, the local bus is a good option, as it's much cheaper than you rent a car. You can walk from Hanoi Old Quarter to Long Bien (the area near Long Bien bridge), find the bus stop which lists all destinations on the routes and take Bus #47 (Long Bien - Bat Trang). It takes 30 minutes for the bus trip.

Ticket costs VND 3,000 (20 cents) one way. The distance is over 10km. You sit in the bus until the last stop in Bat Trang, which is a market where they sell many ceramic products. You can visit some houses and see how they make ceramic products then take a short walk to Bat Trang pagoda.
